The car rental site Afrocars is a car rental broker that acts on behalf of INOVTECH, registered as a Limited Liability Company in England under number ................... (Hereinafter 'Afrocars').

1. Data protection

Please note that this site is operated on servers controlled by INOVTECH, an English company based in Cameroon. All the data you provide to us are processed not only by Afrocars but also by INOVTECH. If you do not want your data transferred to INOVTECH, please do not use this site. By using our services, you agree that your data will be processed in Cameroon. Also, you acknowledge that the transfer of your data to INOVTECH, is necessary for you to benefit from our services.

2. Booking

As a general rule, bookings made via Afrocars are immediately confirmed. However, there are a few exceptions such as last-minute reservations, vehicles on request, one-way rentals and optional equipment.   In these cases, Afrocars must request confirmation from the driver of the vehicle. After payment and confirmation of the reservation, Afrocars sends a reservation voucher by e-mail or fax (on request) to the client who must present it to the agency when taking over. This voucher does not constitute the lease.   The rental contract is concluded between the customer and the lessor when the vehicle is taken over. It is subject to the terms and conditions of the landlord as well as to local legislation.   Afrocars reserves the right to change the booking with another driver - subject to availability - and to inform the customer in due time. 3. Payment method

At the time of booking, there are two payment options available to the customer: • Pre-payment with Afrocars by credit card, paypal, bank transfer or Mobile Money. • Direct payment to the driver by means of agreed payment between the two parties. In all cases, once the reservation has been confirmed, the customer receives the voucher or voucher. Rates are set per 24 hours from the pick-up time. The amount invoiced is valid for the confirmed rental period.   In the event of early return or extension of the trip, a calculation will be made by Afrocars to determine the amount to be refunded to the customer or, if applicable, the additional costs to be paid by the customer. These fees will vary depending on the driver. [ Back to top ]

4. Renting without driver

On Afrocars, it is not possible to rent a car without a driver. [ Back to top ]

5. Vehicule category

The reservation and confirmation are valid only for the vehicle corresponding to the photo presented to the driver on the platforms. [ Back to top ]

6. Carriage and return

At the time of booking, the customer determines the exact pick-up and return dates. If pick-up is at an airport, the customer is requested to provide the flight number, airline name and time of arrival. In case of delayed flight, the customer must inform Afrocars and the driver to maintain the reservation. For pick-up at locations other than airports, only the exact time is required. 7. Vehicle Damage

Failures, damages encountered during the journey are the responsibility of the driver. However, if the customer comes to orchestrate a damage (damage inside the vehicle), he will have to pay the costs. [ Back to top ]

8. Fuel Handling

• Out-of-town travel: Fuel costs are borne by the customer. • Trips in the city: These are the responsibility of the driver. All other costs and expenses (breakdowns, accidents, etc.) are the responsibility of the driver. [ Back to top ]

9. Driver's licence and documents to be presented by the Driver

A valid driver's license issued by the Cameroonian authorities must be presented at the time of registration on the platforms by the principal driver and the authorized drivers, valid identification, held for at least one year (3 years in certain cases ). [ Back to top ]

10. One-way car rental

On many out-of-town destinations and for most drivers, a one-way rental is equivalent to a round-trip rental. However, there is no requirement for a city rental. [ Back to top ]

11. Optional requirement

Optional equipment such as air conditioning, child seat, etc ... must be mentioned by the customer when booking. Subject to availability, each equipment must be confirmed by the lessor. The customer pays these additional options indicated in the booking voucher, to the agency, at the time of take-over. [ Back to top ]

12. Customer service

In the event of a dispute between the customer and the driver, Afrocars assists the customer in resolving the problem if the latter is not at fault. As a broker in the car rental industry, Afrocars can not be held liable for the services provided to the customer by the lessor, including the non-reimbursement of any costs by the lessor. All complaints must be made in writing and sent to Afrocars within 72 hours after the end of the rental period. [ Back to top ]

13. Change to a reservation

Any modification of reservation must be made at least 12 hours before the date and time of taking charge of the customer subject to availability and additional charges. Afrocars does not charge a change fee; Nevertheless the customer is obliged to pay the new tariff in force at the time of the modification. [ Back to top ]

14. Cancellation

 If you do not have prepaid for your reservation, there will be no cancellation fees.  In case of prepayment, the following conditions will apply: • Cancellations must be made within 24 hours before the scheduled dates and times, by phone at 242 63 07 80 or by email at sales@afrocars.net. • Within 24 hours, you will receive an acknowledgment of receipt from the billing department indicating whether or not you meet the requirements for a refund. Refund • If necessary, the elements to be provided as well as the requested means of payment (Mobile Money, Bank transfer, Afropay Supply, etc.) will be specified in the e-mail. • If you cancel your reservation within 24 hours, but at least 4 hours before the scheduled time, you will receive the booking amount less the cancellation fee. The amount of these fees will depend on a number of parameters and you will need to contact 242 63 07 80 to find out the exact amount. • A reservation made less than 2 hours before the scheduled appointment time, you will not be entitled to a refund. 15. Limit of responsability

As a broker, Afrocars is solely responsible for booking with the lessor who is responsible for executing the contract in accordance with the agreed terms. Afrocars can not be held responsible if the customer does not respect the terms of the contract such as: delay, cancellation, non payment of the amount of the reservation. Afrocars is solely responsible for the repair of financial damage due to deliberate acts or gross negligence caused by its employees. In the event of minor misconduct, Afrocars is liable only for predictable and contract-specific damages and to the extent that it is proved that Afrocars has failed to perform the essential obligation of the contract (breach of an essential contractual obligation ).  Afrocars is also liable in the event that information about an element necessary for the contract is not originally disclosed and that its ignorance causes gross negligence. The above limitations or exclusions do not apply to bodily injury to life or health. In the event that Afrocars' liability is excluded or limited, this also applies to the liability of Afrocars employees, representatives and agents. With the exception of claims based on criminal acts, liability for damages expires after one year. Afrocars is not liable for any claims arising out of the rental contract between the lessor and the customer. In this case, the customer must communicate directly with the lessor as a contractual partner. Afrocars is not responsible for the vehicle itself, especially as regards technical conformities or the non-adaptation of the vehicle to the customer. To this end, the customer's claims are limited exclusively to the partner rental company on site. [ Back to top ]

16. Various

The non-validity of one of the clauses of these general conditions does not give rise to the invalidity of the whole contract. In addition, the legal regulations in force apply.[ Back to top ]

17. TITLE17

As a broker, Afrocars is solely responsible for booking with the lessor who is responsible for executing the contract in accordance with the agreed terms. Afrocars can not be held liable if the customer does not respect the terms of the contract such as: missing or invalid documents to take over (driver's license, identity card, credit card, booking voucher) (Minimum / maximum), inability to drive under the influence of alcohol, drugs, medications, prescriptions, etc. Afrocars is solely responsible for the repair of financial damage due to deliberate acts or gross negligence caused by its employees. In the event of minor fault, Afrocars shall only be liable for foreseeable and contract-specific damages and to the extent that it is proved that Auto has failed to perform the essential obligation of the contract (breach of an essential contractual obligation ). Afrocars is also liable in the event that information about an element necessary for the contract is not originally disclosed and that its ignorance causes gross negligence. The above limitations or exclusions do not apply to bodily injury to life or health. In the event that Afrocars' liability is excluded or limited, this also applies to the liability of Afrocars employees, representatives and agents. 18. DELIVERY POLICY

• Make a reservation To book a car on Afrocars.net it's easy! A booking form is available for you to save time. You will get the cars corresponding to the search criteria you have indicated beforehand. Similarly, from the homepage, a panel of cars is offered to you with the possibility of reserving it directly with the button 'Book'. • Confirming a reservation Once you have made your reservation, you will be sent an SMS and a confirmation email with the reference number to be printed. You will have to print it and keep it to present to the driver during the appointment. • Booking follow-up procedure 1- You will receive several emails inviting you to confirm your reservation. 2- The day before the appointment, you will have a call from the Afrocars.net team to define the venue of the appointment with the driver. 3- In case of pre-payment, you will present to the driver a copy of the confirmation of payment sent by mail. 4- In case of postpayment, you will have to pay the driver the amount shown on your booking form against receipt of payment. 5- An appraisal sheet will also be submitted to you.
